DS McGraw 05: The Rules
Laurence ToddThe rules aren’t written down. You can’t find them anywhere, but everyone knows what they are. They’re the series of unwritten norms, what you can and can’t do, and sticking to them is how the game’s played. One prime example is that you don’t kill police officers. Even hardened criminal gangs like the Krays and the Richardsons knew this and adhered to it. But what happens to those same rules when national security is invoked? Investigating what appears to be the arbitrary killing of a young police officer, DS Robert McGraw finds himself operating in a world where players have their own rules and the accepted rules have no meaning. **
About the Author
Laurence Todd left university in the mid 1970's dreaming his dreams but, because the universe works in ways we can't yet comprehend, became a teacher of Law and Business instead. He did this for more years than he cares to count but has now left the profession well and truly behind him and is focussing on stretching his imagination in directions that weren't possible whilst working in a school, and this has allowed him to develop his interests in the world of politics and espionage to create the character of Special Branch DS Robert McGraw.
